Please read the information below:
- All photographers that volunteer with our organization must have experience with low light and external lighting situations. This could include studio lighting, newborn photography, kids studio photography, or other low light photo situations. If your portfolio does not provide high quality photos, you will not be approved as a photographer for Capturing Hopes.
- We shoot wide open in the NICU, this means a lens with an aperture of 2.8 or wider is required for all NICU sessions.
- We photograph 5-6 photo events a year and sneak peeks are required within 3 days. Photo galleries must be sent within 10-14 days of your NICU sessions, unless arrangements are made over major holidays to deliver no later than 21 days following the sessions.
- Our social media posting is based on the philosophy that community support via social media is an important support for families in the NICU. It also brings more awareness to our NICU and bereavement programs that we offer for families. Unless a family requests that their photos are not shared on social media, we post sneak peeks of each session within 3 days upon consent of the family.
- Due to HIPAA privacy compliance laws, we do not share names or other pertinent information about families publicly. This includes family's name, tagging family, baby's name, size of baby, or any health related issues going on with the baby.
- Photo galleries are sent to the families from your own website/gallery and are available for download for at least 30 days. All sessions are also sent to Capturing Hopes for download and use in marketing. You remain the owner of your photos, but allow Capturing Hopes an unlimited license for marketing, social media, promotional purposes, and other online and in print usage.
